I just found out about Pete's passing this evening. To all of his family: he truly lived with joy, and he spread it wherever he went. I am so sorry for your loss; he was an inspiration to many.
I'm so sad to hear of Pete's passing. I knew Pete from 1980-1983 at Live Oak when I was a student there. He was truly a gem and a very kind gentle man whom was always kind to everyone. Pete was one of a kind. Whenever I think of high school Pete always comes to mind. I'm so sorry for your loss, but heaven got another angel. God bless Pete and all of his family and friends. It was always a good time coming by the house when Uncle Pete was there. He could make us laugh like no other. He will hold a place in our hearts forever.
Pete Garcia was a wonderful man who touched the lives of so many people. He was a friend to all, a mentor to so many, a hero to our country, and an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path. He was a very proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Throughout all the years that I was blessed to have Pete as part of my extended family I can't recall one instance that Pete didn't have that warm and loving smile shining bright... As I sit and look back at the time I've known him I am truly inspired by the way he lived his life. I don't think I ever heard him waste one minute negativity judging others, he didn't sweat the small stuff, and he loved, laughed, smiled and truly enjoyed life. I think he found true happiness by bringing happiness to others with open arms. My heart breaks for Lita, Liz, and my Nieces. I know he will be missed dearly. He made the world a better place. I know I will always miss his legendary smile! R.I.P. Pete knowing you was truly a pleasure.
Sorry for the loss of a great man you will be in our thoughts and prayers
