Bob will be truely missed, he will forever be the standing example of what it means to be a Christian and truely happy in Christ.
He will be missed my so many.
My sympathy to you Betty and your family.
I am proud to have known Bob, he was such a great man and enjoyed life so much. Bob did so many good things too numerous to list, one thing that stands out, is his wonderful smile and hug, Bob had a smile and hug for every person he met/knew. I remember when back in 1984 my now husband and I asked Bob if he would marry us, he smiled and said he would love to but he was already married, with a smile and hug and hand shake for my husband, he married us. We were all lucky to have had Bob in our lives, even tho he will be missed here on earth, he is at home in heaven looking down upon us and smiling.

To Betty and family,
I wish I could be there to embrace you, stand by you, and mourn with you, for words are not sufficient to express how much Bob means to me and my family. Bob taught me about Christ. He baptized me, and he taught me how to serve. He was there at almost every important event in my life... when I graduated high school, when my children were born, when my wife had surgery, and when he led me and Alisa in the exchange of our wedding vows. And although all of this might seem like enough reason to be forever grateful to Bob, it really only scratches the surface. For Bob just wasn't with me at those events, but he continues to be with me every day as I serve in the Church.
As Paul was to Timothy, Bob is the teacher and mentor that continually guides me. He's the one who taught me how to love the church. His example is always before me and his encouragement spurs me onward. I know there are many in Tecumseh and surrounding areas that have been lovingly impacted by Bob, but his reach extends much further than that. It now reaches to a little church in Middletown, NY, where I serve in the pattern Bob taught me. And I have no doubt it will extend from there as those I have taught will carry with them the love of Christ and for his Church that I have learned from Bob.
I know you are proud of Bob and that you will miss him deeply. I pray that God will heal your broken hearts and you will find comfort in the hope we share, knowing one day we will join our comrade in that fairer region, among the angel throng. Until then let us all be thankful that God put Bob in our lives and rejoice knowing that he ran his race in such a way as to win the crown that will last forever.
With all of our love,
Grant, Alisa, Caitlyn, & Donovan
I will always remember Bob as a gentle, loving man who deeply loved his friends, family, and most of all, his God. My heartfelt sympathy to you all.
