So very sorry to hear about Rick. So thankful my children and I have memories back to the 1960s and after he moved to Kalkska. Watching Jim, Guy, Lloyd, and Jean growing up with mine whose ages were about the same and made for a lot going on around Rick on visits which he took with smiles and and patience . our deepest sympathy Nadine and Dusty and Angelina, Darlene, Jonathan, and Joseph
I knew Bob for 52 years. We worked together at the Detroit Public Schools for many years. Good friend. Tons of fond memories of trips up north. So lucky to have a buddy like him over the years.
I'll always remember the great times Guy and I had visiting "Rick" up north.
I have to laugh when I think of the time he and I walked down the Big Dune at Sleeping Bear Dunes ... and then realized we were going to have to walk back up. (!) He wound up in physical therapy, and I ended up at the chiropractor. We vowed to stay on level ground after that.
Rick had a great life, and I know he'll be sorely missed by his family and many good friends.
Love and condolences,
My deepest sympathy goes to the family of granpa Ricketts. He will be missed by all. His grandson Chris has many fond memories to hold on to. God bless
