I am Joe Reichenbach, your grandmother's brother. Thank you for asking for further comments about your grandfather. We did spend some time together, just the two of us, but most of our visits were at family functions, cookouts, holidays, birthdays, etc. I do remember one instance when Roger and went to Wisconsin together just to drink a beer. The legal age Wisconsin was 18 as opposed to 21 in Illinois. We spent some time together when they liven in Lake Elsinore, Ca and I lived in Highland, Ca. your grandfather and i had a good relationship together. he will be greatly missed. If you or your family come to Illinois we would love to see you. Your grandmother and I were very close.
Please stay in touch with me.
Dear Cindy, Barb, Cathy, and Debbie --
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad! He was such a great guy and any field trip in high school was more fun if Roger was the bus driver! Hold your memories close and take good care of each other. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Cindy and family,,, we're so sorry for the loss of your dad. Keep the memories close to your heart,,, where he now lives.
I recall many good times when we were young in the Rockford and Belvidere, Il. area with Roger and my sister Jeanne. We also spent time together when we both lived in California. Our deepest sympathies to the family.
Dad, you were my first love and the first man I trusted. I am so fortunate to have shared 54 of your years filling my heart with memories. Although I won't hear you say "what's up kid" any more I will treasure the memory. I know you and mom are dancing in Heaven, as she always remained your truest love. My heart will always smile when I think of you and mom. I love you for always!
