I cannot tell you how sad I was to hear of Romaine's passing. She started out as Miss Trybus during my sixth grade year but became Mrs. Aymen by the year end. She was such a kind, thoughtful woman who I admired growing up. I can thank her for my beautiful handwriting and my calligraphy skills. She is the reason I became a teacher. There is no doubt that she touched the lives of hundreds of students during her career but she had an amazing impact on me.
Sadly, I was in Florida for her viewing and her funeral. I send my deepest condolences to her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
What a beautiful woman and special neighbor she was to us. Her radiant smile and thoughtfulness was contagious. She will be missed.
Sincere sympathy to Romaine's family on her passing. I worked with her at Wissahickon Middle School and respected her as a teacher and a person.
