Sr. Mary Angelique Foto, RSM
I met Sister at Mercy Hospital New Orleans . We had many adventures together especially an unforgettable trip to Spain in 1974. She was passionate about everything she did. Lots of wonderful memories.
Sister Angelique brought many smiles and stories to my family in St. Louis. My grandfather worked with her at St. John's in St. Louis. When I made a decision to move to New Orleans, she gave me lots of recipes, folklore stories and fun facts on the city. She is certainly doing the same in heaven.
I met Sister Angelique while working at St. John's Mercy. She was one of the first Sisters I met and had a most lasting impression with me. She helped me with FMLA's and the whole process behind it. She was this little spit fire and made me laugh. I was grateful for the time I had with her and those moments where she offered me comfort and prayer. Rest in Peace, Sister Angelique. I know the heavens are a brighter place today!
Sr. Angelique was a dynamic woman who was direct and clear in her messages. Her life was dedicated to caring for others.
She was an incredibly bold, outspoken, true warrior and champion for all the values that St. John's Mercy held dear, and was Mercy Spirit to her very core. You could always count on Sister to give the straight, honest truth; whether it was tough love, good advice, or providing information. You felt confident with Sister's wisdom because she was always on top of her game. Thank you for everything Sister Angelique, you will never be forgotten (it's impossible).
