The Reverend Clarence Lee Bennett, Jr.
I was privileged to serve with Lee aboard the USS Vernon County a long time ago. I was just thinking about him this morning. I am saddened by his passing. He was a real gentleman. May the Lord bless Lee's family in this difficult time. Dennis Calkins
Dear Sheila, I was very sorry to learn of your husband's sudden passing. Remember that many prayers will continuously be presented to our Heavenly Father on your behalf.
Sheila,so saddened to learn about your husband,s death.Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Sara Williams
So sorry to hear of your loss. Lee was a very good preacher and a nice man. I went to see him at my sister's church at Cross Keys Church.
Helen andI are praying for Clarence's family during this sad time. We graduated from H.S. with him and he was in our wedding. He and I were classmates from first grade thru 12th and churchmates most of this time. He was the kindest, most gentle, and understanding of all my classmates. He was my friend. To our classmates he was Clarence; later he was Lee. To me he was Gardine. Named after the 50's wrestler Bouncing Benito Gardine. I know he has recently heard "well done, thy good and faithful servant". I will miss you, Gardine. Alvin and Helen Beck Brandon, Ms.
