It was such a surprise to learn of the passing of Uncle Albert, the last surviving child of Peter and Anna Aalgaard. Sadly, the only memory I have of him is when he visited my parents in ND in 1969. To the children of Uncle Albert, you have MANY cousins. I pray that you, your families, and Uncle Albert's friends are comforted by the LORD with HIS compassion, grace, and love.
My dad, Algot, was one of Uncle Albert's older brothers. Uncle Albert moved to CA many years ago, when I was a little child. I don't have many memories of him; I wish I could've had more. My mom, Bernice, has memories of him. Bernice and Algot were married in 1942. Uncle Albert told her that he wanted to marry her, too!!! He was all of 9 years old!!! She still smiles at this. She is 93 years old. I pray that God will bring comfort and healing to his family. Claire Swenson of Valley City, ND
Will of the wisp, full of fun and of adventure, who did the "stockade shuffle" to make us laugh. Robert and I loved him.
Just talked to Uncle Albert over a month ago and was looking forward to see-ing him in September at our nephew's wed-ding. Wanted to hear more of his stories from Korea. We will miss him and our prayers go out to friends and family.
It is quite a life when one experiences the journey with all the twists and turns, taking the ride, good or bad. It is great to hear some of the stories about Uncle Albert and I'll say a few told by my Dad,Leonard(Albert's brother)where pretty interesting at that! So I'll leave it at that... He was pretty influential in my interest in motorcycle's, which I have to this day. Sympathy and Prayers to all family and friends. Rest in Peace, Uncle Albert. Rich Aalgaard.
