Some of Albert's McDonnell Aircraft experience of which he was quite proud.

Albert retired from McDonnell Douglas after approx 30 years as an all-around machinist. He worked in bldg 27 Machine Shop. He trained machinist to be upgraded to the All-Around Classification. At one time or another he operated every machine from the smallest to the largest, from the most simple to the most complex, in his Department, as well as working in the EC room for many years on Contracted Programs and Special Projects.

For the Space Programs, Albert drilled all the holes in the hatches for the first Capsules, he also machined the brackets for the Fire Extinguishers for the Capsules.

After the St. Louis Arch was constructed, Albert was given the exclusive task to machine all of the miniature replica's of the St. Louis Arch for incoming VIP's. When he retired he was given one of the Arches fixed onto a wooden stand with an inscribed nameplate.

Albert took great pride in his work and chose "Quality first above Quantity". He received numerous recognition's for his excellent Performance, High standard of perfection, Zero Defects, and Schedule's met in a timely manner.

I will never forget your beautiful white hair or your wry sense of humor. I wish that I had been given the time and ability to get to know you better, but circumstances did not permit that. I hope that you rest easy and well, and catch your fill of 'Angelfish' up in Heaven.
With love from your niece...
