Dear Mrs. Brooks,
I have just learned of Mr. Brooks' passing and am so very sorry that I did not know sooner as I would have certainly honored him by attending his funeral.
I had so much fun helping him try and get better in cardiac rehab but even more so in being invited into your home when he began teaching me to do stained glass. I still have the first piece he worked on with me and have tried several other pieces. He was a great man and I am honored to have had the priviledge to have known him and gotten to work with him. May God warm his arms around you in comfort and guideance.
Wow, the obituary was an incredible and lovely tribute to an amazing man. Although I didn't know Mr. Brooks, I know that many of his wonderful qualities will live on in his son, Al. I have always believed that the best way to honor someone you have lost is to take one of their characteristics that you admired and make it your own. With Mr. Brooks, it's obvious that there are many from which to choose. My love and sympathy goes out to the entire Brooks family.
Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time. Wanda & Al, we are very sorry to see Floyd leave this earth.
Love Virgie, Emily, Corri & Rick
Deepest sympathy to your family. I know that Floyd and Daddy are getting up a baseball game in heaven. I remember Floyd was Daddy's very best friend all those many years ago.
So sorry to hear of Floyd's passing. Spent many hours with him wrestling with problems on the Railroad. Barbara and I send our condolences and prayers to Floyd's family.
