Dear Peggy, Nan and families,
I will always cherish the visits that I had with your parents. The last few times they traveled east they came to see us in Raleigh to see their great-great niece and nephew. The wisdom and zeal for life that Aunt Anne and Uncle Emory showed has left a great impression on me. I look back and wish I could have come out to Midland again to visit Aunt Anne before she went home to be with the Lord. She will truly be missed. We pray that the Lord bless you and comfort you and give you peace through this difficult time.

Peggy, my sister just let me know about your mom. It is always difficult to lose our parents, but we can be grateful for the length of time God has them here.

I hope you and your family are doing well during this difficult time. I do not have a current address for you. Would love to hear from you.

Anne and Emory were dear friends of my parents, Tom and Margaret Coleman for many years and were in their prayer group in the 70's. When my mother moved into the Mabee center a year ago Anne and mother became 'hall mates'. She told me that she would go to Mother's room and check on her every day and she did. I had many chats with Mrs. Parrott during the past year. She was always quick with a humorous quip and always turned the conversation around to Jesus. I always tried to give her a hug when I saw her at meal time or in the hall. She would sometimes express her longing to visit her old stomping grounds in Virginia one more time and jokingly (I think!) asked me to drive her there. Of course I said yes! Anne was beloved by many and we miss her so much. She has left a big void at Manor Park and in all of our lives but I know she has been welcomed to her true home in that magnificent and indescribably joyous reunion that awaits all of us who put our trust and hope in Him. May God surround all of you with His tender, strong arms of comfort.

Ann and Nan,
I was so saddened to hear of your mother's passing. I know what a deep loss you are experiencing, especially so close to losing Emory and Wade. Your family has been so special to ours throughout the years. Our prayers are with you during this most difficult time!

Peggy and Nan,
Your mother was a table mate of my Mammaw, Kathleen Wells for over a year in the Mabee Center dining room. She also was her next door neighbor. I was able to get to know your sweet mother while I was there taking care of Mammaw. I enjoyed your mother's stories and history lessons very much and she would always come visit Mammaw before bed to tell her that she loved her and would see her the next day. She was always a dear to see and spend time with.
I know your pain and loss and will pray for comfort for your families.
