Arthur Alexander Davenport
Dear Anna and Family,
I taught Arthur in the 7th grade and he was one of my favorite students. He worked hard and all ways did what was asked of him . He wrote me post cards when he was in the Marines Corps.
After I became Principal of West Lenoir, I asked him to become our custodian and bus driver. Again he was a very hard worker and very loyal. We became great friends.
I am so sorry to hear of his death. Had I known I would certainly have been there to be with you. May God bless you during this time of sorrow and may you find peace.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Nikki, So sorry to hear about your dad. In my thoughts and prayers.
Arthur was a very fine gentleman and a true "Marine" . He served his Lord, his country, his family, and the comunity with honor and passion. Rest in peace. Your friend and fellow Marine, Eddie Taylor. (Lenoir, NC)
My prayers go out to Arthur Davenport family. we were classmates as well as neighbors in the neighborhood. God bless you all..
