I remember the gracious Barbara from 1954 when Frank was my skipper on the submarine Catfish. She illuminated a conversation with her descriptions of their young family life and their children's aspirations. Memories of those happy days are now my cherrished property.
I remember vividly my early association with Frank and Barbara. My thoughts from day one were, these are two wonderfully decent human beings. When Frank passed, Barbara, with the help of her loving family, carried on with great strength and character. My thoughts go out to her family. Please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of Barbara. I know she will be missed. Reed Thompson (Solana Beach)
To Elaine and family,
We lived across the street from you when both our Navy fathers were stationed in Norfolk,Va about 1961. Though its been 50 yrs,I have fond memories of many happy days at your house.Your mother, Barbara, was a warm and gentle lady, always welcoming. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and I know you will miss her greatly. My deepest sympathy to you all.
So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, Ginny. We've lost touch, but I think of you often-especially in December, or whenever we have the wedding pics out. Please know that you are all in my prayers at this difficult time.
I have fond memories of third grade music class from Mrs. Biewer at Sacred Heart Academy in Ocean Beach. My sympathy to the family.
