I can only speak from a student's point of view. I first met Dr. Greim in the fall of 1998. I was an older student just starting the Computer Science curriculum at UNCW. Dr. Greim was my first professor within the Computer Science department and was lucky enough to have for two more classes during my four year stint at UNCW.
I wish she had really known what a positive and influential impact she has had on my life and career. I have had a stellar career and of the two companies I have worked for since graduating I have been rewarded substantially, accolades and promotions.
I have built a solid reputation for designing, coding and deploying superior software solutions.
This all might sound a bit self-conceited, but trust me it is true and the reason I am sharing this is because all of it is a direct result of have being taught by the absolute best. From day one Dr. Greim instilled in me the core programming skills and values that allows for this kind of success. No matter what programming language, application software, database or development tool I use the skills she taught me applies to every one of them.
I hope some of her friends or family might read this and be comforted a little to know that by just being Dr. Greim could have such a positive impact on someone's life. I can also guarantee that I was not the only one she had this effect on.
I truly cannot thank her enough!!!
