I only just learned of Belva Plain's passing moments ago when I read the inscription on her last book, "Heartwood", which I recently picked up at my library. I have read nearly all of her novels and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. I feel inexplicably sad to learn this is her final one. She was a talented writer and I will sorely miss her. May God bless you, Belva, and my sincere condolences to your family. You touched my heart with your work.

Belva was a beloved inspirational author through her ability to weave a heartfelt story with her true to life characters which we could all relate to one way or another. I've followed her for the past three decades. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I felt like I lost my best friend. I've read all of her novels. You will be so missed. Regrets to her loved ones.
