I was so sad to find out Ms. Gardner had passed. We got to honor her a few years ago at our Class Reunion. I have some wonderful pictures. She was so surprised! She told me I always knew you were the one who would find me (of her students) She told me she still had the book ends on her shelf I had given her in high school. I am so sad that life did not allow me to spend time with her in the last few years. When I first met her I was terrified of her. She demanded the best from us. She would not let us slack and accept anything less! She was my mentor and so many others. There is no person in my life that influenced me more in every way than her. Today I am a very successful business owner and I owe it all to her. We loved this woman so much and she gave all she had to her students! I will always cherish the night we honored her, she had the time of her life. Today I was thinking of her and went on facebook to see if by chance she was on there, that is when I saw her obit. I am crying as I write this, the greatest woman I have ever known has gone on to Heaven. What a blessing she was to so many! She will be truly missed!

Ms. Gardner was one of my very favorite teachers at Cohn. I took her typing class and if not for her I would not have passed many typing tests for a job. I remember her so well and was just thinking about her the other day and then saw where she had passed away. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. A wonderful person; more than a teacher. She always made you feel like you could do anything if you believed in yourself. I'm sure she's in charge of the Business class in Heaven. God Bless You Ms. Gardner.

I just heard Ms Gardner had passed away. A group of Cohn alumni were talking about favorite, memorable teachers and her name came rose to the top. She was my typing/shorthand teacher at Cohn 65-66. I deeply valued her not only as a teacher, but as a woman and a trusting, caring friend. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She had such a zest for life. She definitely left a large imprint on the hearts of so many students. She will be remembered fondly and lovingly for a very long time.

My Dearest Aunt Betsy... I treasure every memory I have of you. You were sweet, caring, kind and generous. We grieve for the emptiness left behind without you in our world, but we rejoice in the thought that you are in a better and more wonderful place. We will see you again one day...
