Thinking of you always love you mama BETTYE:-)

Bettye was a wonderful woman and a good friend. The year before Martin Luther King Day was voted in by Phoenix residents, I had the honor of marching through the streets of the city with her and other friends to try and make that happen. She was genuine and could laugh like no one else. My condolences to her family and close friends.

My prayers go out to Bettye's family. Bettye will always be in my heart and memories. She taught me how to crochet and knit. She was so talented and could do anything. When she crocheted I called her "The Machine". We shared so many laughs. She was truly a remarkable and lovely lady. My three daughters loved Bettye too (and even played basketball with her when they were little.) RIP my friend.
