I'm going to miss that smile. The story's you used to tell me. The hugs. Watching dancing with the stars. The late night visits. The birthday cards. I'm going to miss you so incredibly much. I'm thankful for the years I got to spend with you. The moments we had I will always cherish. You're family. Your my grandpa by heart. Thank you for your service. I'll never forget the first time I met you. The promises I made I will keep. I'll make you proud of me, and I'll take care of mom and dad! This will be a tough goodbye! I'm in such disbelief. It hasn't hit me yet and I keep picturing you in my head sitting at home in your chair laughing, and smiling. God received an amazing soldier today. A beautiful angel. A fighter. A lover, and a friend. Rest easy grandpa bill the builder. ??????

It's killing me knowing you're no longer with us anymore.. The last time I seen you i knew it would be our last time together, but I kept telling my self it wouldn't be. I hope you see now how much you've truly impacted my life is such a positive way! I've grown to love you with all of my heart. I learned to take you in like my grandpa. Gosh I wish this was just a dream.

Bill was not only a war hero; he was a hero who took loving care of his severely afflicted invalid wife at the end of her days. We will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with the family.
