We have such wonderful memories of Aunt Blanche Alvina (Bothun) Silcox. She has always reached out to others to share her love. We would receive telephone calls to find out how we were, and to check on Mother (Agnes). Frequently she would share how she thought her brother was such a kind person. This discussion left us with the same feeling about her. She was immensely considerate of others! We have often thought about her extremely strong faith in Jesus. She talked about it, and she lived it for all to see. It was a source of inspiration for her day to day walk. She was born into the Spirit and led by the Spirit. Blanche shared faith stories with us about Hans and Ingeborg Bothun. It is with great satisfaction to hear how our ancestor's lives were built on God's love, forgiveness, mercy and grace. We can only imagine the joyous meeting with the mother she lost at the age of three. These same faith feelings were reality when she was with us and now reality when we have lost her. Her death is a huge loss, but what a heavenly celebration for Blanche!
Oh, how we will miss those memory walks with Aunt Blanche, but how happy we are for her while we wait for another meeting! Her model for how we are to live will sustain us until that time. We are fortunate that her family is our family.
God bless,
Leitha and Darald Norris Bothun
