I always thought that someday I would travel back to Astoria. I would surprise you in the park, or if you were not there maybe the dog park, or your garage working on your Art. Now I know you're in a happy place with that big smile of yours! I hope Robert and Todd are doing fine,God Bless them. Take it easy Carl

Hi Carl. It has been a while since I have seen you, but going to the park has been a different experience ever since Pluto died. I remember how you were always so happy to see us, and every time you would tell me how much I had grown up, even if I had seen you just a month before. Thank you for being mine, and Pluto's, friend. Truthfully, even though I hadn't seen you for a while, it never crossed my mind that I would never see you again. I guess that all I can say is, rest in peace.

Dear Carl, I will miss seeing your friendly face and warm smile on your Astoria Park bench with Joe. You were always pleasant and easy to talk to. You were my dog's favorite she knew where you and Spike were from miles away. I have a beautiful photo you took of me with my dog, Pancho, I will hold onto it for years to come.

Dear Carl, in my memory, you will always be sitting on the same, familiar bench in the park with Buster sitting next to you and Spike prancing around. You will smile and wave and me and Sugar will stop and we will talk for a while about nothing in particular. Then I will say 'See you later' and go on my way. This is how I saw you the last time... I am so sorry that I will not see you later, Carl...

I am so much better a person for knowing you. You have always made me feel so welcome and cared for. Jack and I loved to see you in the park and talk to you about life. Thank you for being so kind to us. See you later.....
