Mrs. Catherine Colleen Aden
I too am a patient of Internal Medicine, Dr. Helen Jones, and I am saddened to read of the passing of Cathy. I would wait an hour if I had to so she could get my blood. I have very difficult veins (and I am young) and she always got it on the first try and it never hurt. As others have said here on this forum, she was the best at what she did, everyone didn't mind doing a blood test as long as she was there and she just made the world a better place. I'm glad I always hugged her after each test and thanked her for being so kind. I am truly going to miss her and to her family, I'm so very sorry for your loss during this time.
I live in part thanks to Cathy, so she lives on in me as in hundreds of other medical patients, friends and family whom she touched and so warmly cared for. She poked my vein countless times, yet I looked forward to every blood sampling visit. She helped me through cancer, two heart surgeries and regular tests of my coagulation rate.
Cathy never preached religion to me, yet I recognized Godly love in her words, her eyes, her smile, her reassurance, her comfort, her strength, her laugh, her compassion. Cathy taught me to be a better person, and I shall try to pass on her lesson to all I encounter. Thank you, Cathy.
Dear Aden Family,
Cathy was a dear sweet friend as well as co-worker. She will forever be remembered by her beautiful smile and genuine soul. I know family was the most important thing to her, especially her grandchildren which we had many wonderful conversations about. Cathy will be greatly missed but will live on through her children and grandchildren.
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
The Arden and Wilkens Family,
I am so saddened to read of Cathy's passing. As with the many patients of Internal Medicine, I feel a very special loss. Cathy always welcomed each of us all with her wonderful smile and easy conversation. She showed a genuine interest in every patient and was never too busy to make people feel welcome and comfortable. It was clear she loved her family and she kept many of us up on their activities. Her love of life and compassion for others will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies.
To Cathy's Family, I knew Cathy through being a patient at Internal Medicine. I always looked forward to seeing Cathy in the lab. She was always so cheerful and pleasant that I didn't mind the needle just to get to see her and visit with her for a few minutes. I am very sorry for your loss, but I can tell from looking at all of the pictures of Cathy with your family that you have many wonderful memories that will help you in your sorrow. Best wishes to all of you, Laurel Belden
