My sincere condolences to Pam, Kate and Nick on the passing of Charles. I knew him as a dedicated, caring, interested parent of my students, Kate and Nick and enjoyed and appreciated my connection with him. Please know that I am thinking positive thoughts for you as you come upon the year's anniversary of his passing.

I met Dr. Craig at a very tough time in my life, when I was fighting a bad c difficile infection. He not only helped me get better but showed great concern for me as a person. He always took the time to talk and we swapped stories about lakes and boating and his beloved summer home in Canada. He was one of a kind and I will miss him very much. Rest is peace Doc.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the Craig family. Dr. Craig not only provide critical medical care to my partner, Jon Hoffer, as he battled AIDS but more importantly friendship and support. He was never to busy to take a phone call from either one of us and was always available to us, a rare commodity these days. Unfortunately, I lost Jon on May 4, 1996. Fortunately, with Dr. Craig's care and support we had shared 17 wonderful years together. After Jon's passing, I considered Dr. Craig a friend and a colleague as I became Director of the Lansing Area AIDS Network. He was never far from the phone if I needed him. Although, our contact became infrequent over the past decade, I knew if the occasion would ever arise I could count on him. He was a remarkable human being, an angel on earth and now an angel above. The world was a better place because of him. There was a thought I shared on the occasion of Jon's passing that I would like to share in memory of Dr. Craig:
When through one man
A little more love and goodness,
A little more light and truth,
Come into the World,
Then that man's life has had meaning.
Dr. Craig's life has had great meaning and the world will forever feel that loss. Great peace, Dr. Craig, and peace to all of the family. May those memories that today bring tears, soon bring smiles of joy.
