I so enjoyed talking and spending time with Charles, my step dad, for the last 42 years. He was so kind and willing to do anything for anyone. He was adventuresome and funny, with that wry smile of his. He was someone who you could count on, and you alway's knew he cared for you.
We shared a lot of fond memories when I came up from Florida to see him. There were many good times. It was a blessing to see him and pray with him only day's before he went home to be with the Lord. I miss him greatly, but I know I will see him again. Rest in peace my friend.
Uncle Peanut was always kind to me. I will never forget his generosity and kindness.
Charlie befriended my father a few years back, after my dad moved in to my sister's house on Brookfield. He took my dad to various activites and lunches, sat on the patio with him, brought him tomatoes from the garden. He was, in truth, my dad's last real friend. I thanked him for his kindness when my dad passed in November of 2011. I though it appropriate to do so again today. RIP, Charlie.
He was my Dad's only sibling and will be greatly missed. I know my Mom and Dad will be happy to see him. God will take good care of him now.
Remember every summer his visits to our home here in Alabama! He would fix up the place for Aunt Ruth(my mother) and visit his dad my uncle George. I aggravated him by always asking questions but he never seemed to mind. He will truly be missed and all of us loved him dearly. Rest in peace dear cousin. We will meet again in Heaven and you will not suffer anymore. Love to all the family!
