What a great teacher and a great man.. He taught more than the assigned curriculum; he taught us about values. I was his student in 1970 and Mr Foyle stands out as one of the few truly memorable teachers I had in over 20 years of education..My condolences to the family, and my gratitude for having known him.

I will always remember Mr. Foyle, he was one of my favorite teachers! He was the first person to explain to me what a leap of faith was. I have many fond memories of him. I send my condolences to his family with the hope that knowing he touched so many of us as our teacher, gives them some comfort. He was a really great teacher.

Mr. Foyle was as gracious a role model as he was a gifted educator. I was lucky enough to have him twice at Kiva: in third and fifth grades. I rremember thinking how much he learned in those intervening two years! Please accept my sympathy for your loss and know that Mr. Foyle created a very large family of Kiva students, whose thoughts sustain you now in your time of grief.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this sad time. I was also one of Mr. Foyle's students at Kiva (class of 1970). When he arrived at the mini Kiva Kids reunion we had in 2008 (for Mr. Tate's homeroom), he was exactly the same as I remembered him! Please know Mr. Foyle had a great influence on many students. We will continue to try to be the kind of people he encouraged us to be.

Mr. Foyle was such an amazing and caring teacher. He taught us the love of learning and the importance of asking questions. Every student felt special and capable in his presence. He expected the best of us at all times and we learned the importance of expecting the best for ourselves. Mr. Foyle made such a positive impact on so many--his light lives on in all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
