I didn't have the opportunity to get to know Charles, but know Codie quit well. She is such a blessing to me, my little sister. I love you, Codie, and will be praying for you and all your family as you endure and perservere. Keep on keepin' on. Here for you always, Bonita

Charles has been a lifelong friend, dating back to high school days at Choctaw. Charles, Harold Sandlin and I were constant companions. Among my many memories of our friendship, perhaps the best was the summer of 1953. We lived east of Oklahoma City and we would catch a ride to Black Hawk swimming pool on N.E. 23rd. Harold and I would take turns carrying Charles up the ladder of the high dive, help him out to the end of the board, hold the back of his trunks to steady and then shove him headlong into the pool. Charles was fearless! He faced and defeated many physical challenges. Bye for now, Charlie.

I heard so many great stories about "Charlie" through the years I worked with Ginny! He was every bit as colorful and impressive in person when I did meet him! My prayers are with you all during this acknowledgement and rejoicing of where Charlie is now and this time of transition for his earthly "loves" that must learn to live without him for a short time. I'm sure he is riding a horse right now!
