Uncle Bill has always been an important figure in my life growing up. He was always a very kind and loving individual who would drop whatever he had to do to spend time with me. He imparted on me years of wisdom that helped shaped me into who I am today. Uncle Bill was truly a great man and I will never forget him.

Uncle Bill was very special to our family. We enjoyed his company whenever we visited LA. He always took care of everyone and was always making sure that we were comfortable. We had only known him for the last 13 years but he definitely created a special place in everyone's heart. We have very good memories of the time we spent with him and we will dearly miss Uncle Bill.

My dad and Bill were best friends from the time they went to dental school together. After my father passed away, Bill took us under his wing and looked out for us the way my dad would have wanted. He did the same for our next door neighbor, Dorothy, after her husband died. He was always there for us, never complaining about the extra workload. He just did it because he knew that was the best gift he could give his friends' families. We'll never forget him.

Bill would always stop whatever he was doing in the yard to chat with me because he was always manicuring something. One time I was riding my Quad up the street past his house warming it up after washing it, and Bill flagged me down. Well, I thought for sure I was in for a scolding at 46 so I pulled over to him and turned it off. He walked up to me and said "man that looks like fun" we talked for a while and I headed back home. He would always notice me on my way and share a smile and a wave. A kind and dear friend, I'm deeply saddened, he is truly missed.

Bill was a very special man who was loved by everyone on his block (The Halm Avenue Block Club). He was always helping those in need. I saw him many times mowing the lawn of others, painting for neighbors... just doing everything he could to be a wonderful neighbor. He was so extraordinary that we even presented him with the "Nicest Neighbor" award. He will be sorely missed by all. Our love and condolences go out to his wonderful wife, Frances, his daughter, Lisa, and the rest of his family who loved him so much. I, for one, will miss his smile and the waves he gave as I would drive by his house on the way home. He worked tirelessly to keep his house and yard beautiful. It's a very sad day to say good bye to Bill but he will always live in our hearts and mind.
