I was very saddened to hear of Craig's passing. I worked with Craig at the DEQ in Lansing for several years and he impressed me as someone who had his priorities in life straight; the most important being his family. I fondly remember many of Craig's funny stories about his time in the military; his teaching days and of course his time at Michigan State University. One of my favorite remembrances of Craig was his classic lead in line “Well, the thing is…” followed usually be a pearl of wisdom, a funny story and a booming laugh. Craig was a good man, a good friend and he will be missed.
With deepest sympathies,
Prayers to the family. Mr. Lapham was a great person and a great teacher. I remember the joy he had teaching us all about the earth sciences.
Jill, Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Our prayers for you and your family members to be strong in this hard time. With love: Sunil & Poonam (Okemos, Mi)
I was sad to see Craig's obituary in the Lansing State Journal. I remember you guys and Kirk fondly from The Video Store days. You were good customers, always loved when you came in. My deepest sympathy to you, Jill and the rest of your family.
After knowing you both for 42 years (!) and with Gary and Craig having kept the world free from the Red Menace all these years, we are so very sad that he has left us. We will especially remember him on 8th of May each year. God be with you, Jilly and may He bring you peace and comfort. With love, Gary and Kip Thor
