Cynthia Jan Abernathy (Pollan)
It is hard to believe you have been gone a year. I think of you and Roy often. We are grateful you are one of our Haley's heavenly host. Missing you & your fun, loving spirit!
Thinking of you on your first birthday in heaven. Love you and miss you. Brandess
Cyndie was a lovely person in every way. We were friends in high school, then didn't cross paths for 25 years, when we became co-workers. We became fast friends all over again, and I cherish those more recent memories as much as the earlier ones. Cyndie was a bright light, a beacon of kindness wherever she went. She will forever be missed.
Every RFL I think of Cyndi, and even more so now. She was such a supporter and encourager of the Relays and such a voice and advocate for the ACS Survivor Committee and it's Members. Her joy, kindness and laugh will be missed. My prayers are with your family.
Through this time, I sorely wish that I could be by your side to comfort you and I wish that we were not separated because of college. I am sorry for your mom's passing. I considered her a second mom, someone who cared for me and let me hang out at your house instead of being cooped up alone at my house. I will never forget your mom and her smiling face or her sweet caring voice. You are the image of your mom and I see her in you. I am sorry I was unable to attend the services for her and be with you that day. I miss you a lot, Eva, and I miss your mom too. Stay strong and continue to smile. She's looking down at you from above and she wants you to be happy.
