Dan first came into our lives when his brother married my Aunt Celina. He must have really liked us, because he married our cousin Milly! We were lucky to have him as part of our family. He was an exceptional man and will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear that my favorite driving instructor at Deer Park High School has passed away. All of us girls loved taking drivers ed with Mr. Iyall. He was so kind and let us stop and pick flowers along the road. He probably needed to get out and get a breath of air, after anyone of us had taken the wheel! I will miss him and feel honored to have known him throughout our class reunions (50) that he returned to and also that I sat by him in Yuma at one of the Spokane class reunions recently. RIP Mr. Iyall!!! Sincerely,
Patsy Krick Kinyon

Dan will always be a bright spot in my life. I first knew him in about 2002, when I was at the Valley Eagles. He was the only man who walked me out to the car when I was leaving. One time my keys were locked in the car. We were all leaving at the end of the evening when I noticed, and Dan said he would take me home to get extra keys. I was very touched and told him I lived way up on the North side of Spokane and it was already late. He said that would not be a problem. My motoring plan was coming to help, so Dan said he would sit and wait until they arrived --- which he did! We were about the last two to leave.
My impression was that he was the nicest man at the Eagles, and that is still my feeling. I would have been glad to go out with him if he asked, but, alas, that did not happen. He ended up with his beautiful sweetheart.
God Bless You so much during this difficult time. Maureen

Such a wise, caring man with a great sense of humor. Later in life when asked if he was "really" 100% Native American, he responded, "Yes, I knew both my Mother and my Father".... Peace be with you, Dan.
