I will add my appreciation to Ken & family's for all the shared tales, thoughts, support and prayers during this time. I will miss Daryl every day for the rest of my life - he truly was unique and unforgettable.
Lori (Andersen) Vickers (& family)
To those who have shared and will share their memories and reflections of Daryl’s life, please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation, on behalf of my late brother and our entire family. It gives us great comfort and joy in knowing how many diverse people Daryl touched and impacted during his too-brief life here on earth.
Ken, Kathy, and the Andersen family
Daryl Andersen-His sister described him "bigger than life." His cousin Sheryl so aptly described him as a "gentle giant." I can't think of any words that would describe this wonderful fellow any better than both of those. Daryl loved the unique life he carved out for himself. He was truly a colorful and well loved character from his brilliant sports mind, connection with the sports greats and tremendous collection of memorbilia, to the days when he knew all the Texas music greats while he was a bouncer at the legendary Rockefellers in the heights to his bi-annual trips to Nashville where he knew so many of the musicians. We can only guess who he knew and who will miss him. He could always make you laugh, no matter what because whatever the subject, Daryl always had his own unique spin on it, seen through eyes unlike any other, never knowing what would come out of his mouth. I regret not spending more time with him, never taking that trip to Nashville with him that I always wanted to and that we talked about for years, and not getting him down here to my house to fish. He is welcomed by the Hazel and Andy, the mom and dad he treasured, cherished and loved so much. We always think we have all kinds of time. I wish Daryl had so much more.
Even though I've never personally met him. Daryl was an incredible friend and co-worker. I will miss our talks and instant messages. He was an incredible agent with a ton of knowlege.. the ESC will not be the same with out him. I am so sorry for your lost, he truly was a great guy!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Ken and Lori with the loss of their
brother.Daryl was a sweet soul and always had kind words and a love
for life.As kids we spent alot of time on the sandlots in our neighborhood playing for hours and Daryl playing and calling the game at the same time.It made for great entertainment.Over the years
whenever his name was mentioned there was always a great story to tell about Dr. Trivia. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
