Debbie Metheral

December 2, 2012
I am so saddened to hear of this news.

I met Debbie and Gerry in the late 70's when my family moved to Ladner. I was 12 and they needed a babysitter. I first babysat Troy from the time he was just over a year old. From then, I babysat all of the other children from the time they were newborns. Debbie was the best mom and still made sure she took time to do things for herself as well as making sure she and Gerry had their couple time together usually every weekend.

Without a doubt there is a very special new Angel in the Heavens. I will always be grateful for having known her and will remember fondly the wonderful and generous woman that she was.

Love and Blessings ~

Such a shock to hear the news. I babysat Troy, Shawn, Michelle and Jason in the 80s, and I remember Debbie as someone who was in love with being a wife and a mother. She embraced that role and it was obvious even to the teenaged babysitter that nothing meant more to her than her family. She was the most devoted mother who still made sure she had regular date nights with Gerry. This is a huge loss. I am thinking of you all and send my love.
