DeForrest Wakefield Fletcher
Woody was a great man and a great teacher in fact he was the best teacher of all. He taught me so much about the printing and because of him I'm still in it today. You will be missed more than you know.
Woody, Nish and I have fond memories of working with you in our shop building at PHS for many years. We shared many lunches and conversations and laughs together. I never tired of watching you operate the big German printing press being in constant motion making adjustments and pulling off sheets of the school newspaper. I loved the fact that you wore bow ties. My father wore bow ties. Rest in piece our friend.
Thank you Mr. Fletcher for teaching me such great work ethics. You were such a fabulous teacher and always very fair. Graphic arts was a very interesting and fun class. All of the great memories of your unique expressions have stayed with me my whole life. I will always feel honored to have had you offer me the opportunity to work in graphic arts during the summer of 1972, with pay. That was very special, God Bless you and your beautiful family. Thank you.
Put in a good word for us Poppa Woody, for all of us left with very fond memories of you...
God bless you with fond memories and the comfort of your beautiful family. Susan Alps
