To Del's children: i worked with your mom a couple of years at Farm Bureau years ago before the name changed to Alfa. She trained me in fact. I learned to love and respect her for her kind, caring nature. I remember one day she even fixed breakfast for me at her house and got me to try tomatoes with my eggs. Delicious! One day on my way back to the office I had a fender bender in the parking lot and was in tears when she came in. She just put her arm around me and gave me a big hug. I was only 23 at the time so she sort of "mothered" me while I worked with her. I know you will miss her so much. She was so proud of each one of you and even though I don't think I ever met y'all I feel as if I know you. I will be praying for you all.
So sorry to hear this news. Will miss seeing Mrs. Miller and her kind words and warm welcome each time we were home and able to visit Flint Baptist. Always made myself and family feel special. Praying for her family.
Del was a great Christian lady and a wonderful co-worker and friend. She will be greatly missed. Our sympathy to all the family. Love, Richard and Sylvia Hancock
