Ellen and family: It was such a pleasure to become acquainted back in 2003, when you shared your home with me for several months. Each of you were an example of kindness and love. It was an honor to be in your presence. God be with you till we meet again.

I am saddened to hear of Dr. Fisher's passing. He was always pleasant to me, and an important role model when I needed to start using the sip'n'puff drive on my wheelchair. I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Ellen and family,
We were so saddened to hear about Lowell and our thoughts, prayers, and hearts go out to you. You both have been, for years, persons of grace, courage, and inspiration.

Dear Ellen, I am sorry to hear of Lowell's passing. I have a fond memory of meeting him when you were teaching at UMHS. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege of knowing Dr. Fisher as a family man and as a teacher. In both roles he has always been a role model and inspiration. As a high school friend of his son Brent, I was witness to an amazing family with a strong love for each other and for God. Several years later, I walked into anatomy class during my first year of medical school and learned that Brent's dad was also an amazing teacher! Year after year, he passed along his love for the human body, with all of its wonders and limitations, to well over a hundred medical students each year. His book, "Your Amazing Anatomy," will always be on my bookshelf. His legacy of teaching, of love for family, and love for God, will always remain in my heart.

Brent, Ellen, and the rest of the Fisher family, thank you for sharing him with us. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
