Randall Mateling Like my brother Don I had truly just got to know Doug. He supported my art like no one else ever did. He believed in me and in his way he encouraged us all to live like we are dying by his resilient life style. He had an amazing bucket list and almost did it all with his EXTRA year of life with us. . We are blessed to have attended the last Spring Training game of 2014 with Douglas and the fellowship that went along with it.. I know he is now without pain at last and in a far better place than we are. It remains difficult none the less as we go on here without him. I miss my brothers. I truly look forward to our reunion one day on the other side. God bless Marcia and Sue and our families. Family-simply the best this world has to offer...

We always loved our GrandDoug. He had funny jokes, and he always cared for family and friends, especially his grandchildren. God bless GrandDoug. Let him be free. We hope he has a good time in Heaven.
