You are the the man who kept me health for all those 38 years. I have just found out of your departure for this world .Why is life so unfair sometimes. If anyone deserved a long and happy retirement it was you.
You and Mrs. Baxter were an amazing team!!! My sincerest condolences to lour family. It always brightened my day to see you smiling face. (((

To the Acker family: I just heard about the passing of Dr.Bill.
I was a patient of his for many years and although happy for him when he retired, missed him very much.
I cannot add anything more to what's been said about his wonderful character and dedication to his patients. He was loved.

Dear Penny;
I was so terribly sorry to learn of Bill's passing yesterday when you called.
It left me somewhat speechless, but knowing how much Agape Love Bill had for so many others as well as you his family, I know he is in Heaven today.
The Lord said Well Done my good & faithful Servant. Bill served all of us faithfully to the very end. A dear Friend always & sadly missed by all of us who had the privelege to know him and his terrific smile.
Loads of Christian Love to each of You today and always.

Dear Penny and Family
As a Halifax teen friend and subsequent medical school classmate of Bill it is with sadness that Betty and I heard of his death from another classmate Art Coakley.
Bill was a ferociously ethical and positive contributor to his community. Those of us remaining and those to come will do little better than to remember and follow his perception of service to others.
We had the odd beer together, played bridge and lamented the Forrest Building's poor anatomy lab facilities. Parting company after internship, I to the west and he remaining in Halifax there were very few contacts. One I remember well was on a trip back to Nova Scotia in the summer of '72 to request, hat in hand, a Rx. for OCPs!

To the Acker family I express my most sincere condolences and honor and respect for Dr. Bill Acker. He helped me deliver two of my three daughters and treated my family like gold as they grew up. He was a wonderful person ~ one of God's best.
With blessings to you all ~
