I had the distinct privilege of serving with Dustin while stationed in Venice. There aren't many memories of my time in the Coast Guard that don't include him. Though they don't know his name there are a people on this earth that are thankful that Dustin Dean was there when they needed him the most. He was a great friend and shipmate that I could always rely on. Rest in Peace my friend.

Dusty and I served together in the Coast Guard at Station Venice, LA. We went through hurricanes Ivan, Katrina, and Rita together and spent countless hours together underway on Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement cases. My condolences to his family, he will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
