Edie was my special Aunt. All of the summers she spent with us were like magic. She loved coming to Arizona and exploring. You should have seen her riding the 3 wheeler! Edie will always have a special place in my heart. Dana

Edith and her family have long been a friend to our family. She went to school in Cedar Creek with my dad (Jack Simmons). My mom (Lucille) rented a room in the old 2 story house when my dad went into the Navy. Lots of special memories. With sympathy and caring.

Dear Carolyn and Family,
What a special lady your Mom was. So glad we had the honor to know her. May The Lord give you all a peace that passeth all understanding.
With our love and thoughts,

Edith was such a strong influence on me as a beginning teacher. Everyone respected and loved her. After I returned to Austin in 1994, Frances Stephenson and I organized a little reunion of St Elmo teachers we worked with in the late 60's and early 70's. We had such fun and as usual Edith was a hit of the party. I fondly remember her smile and dry sense of humor. What a blessing to have a long happy life and leave us on Easter to enjoy the next part of her journey. God's speed.
