The stories my daddy (Richard Eli Gentry) shared with us about Uncle Ed were great. They are missed greatly... They were my heros. Lisa (Poo) Gentry

My dear Lila,
I just learned of Eddy's passing, and am devastated. When I saw him last year, he looked wonderful. The obituary gave no cause of death, and I'm wondering if it was sudden; I'm also wondering how you're doing.

I just found out about Eddy. Worked with him at the Sahara hotel from 86-88. I was a casino mkting secretary. We had so much fun. He loved betting on horse racing. And was very kind when I became pregnant and had my daughter he would let me sneak my kids in on Sundays. Such a wonderful person. You will be deeply missed. Love. Beverly Lapriore-Funderburk

Lila and Family,
You are in our prayers just as we were in your in Jan. I know Dad would have wanted to be there if he could have, Eddy and you were always special to our family. We were all happy we got to see you both the last time we were in Amarillo. He'll always be in our thoughts when we hear his music plays...

Dear Lila and family, We were so sorry to hear about your loss. We have not seen you for many years, but have wonderful memories of you from Oakey Church of Christ and your family's warm welcoming of the youth group for devotionals. You are in our prayers.
