Mary & Family, I just found out that this world lost a wonderful, loving man! I have never met anyone like Big Bad Bud Finch... I loved this man... Enjoyed calling him and talking with him years ago... hunting down fair hogs & lambs, he was always on a search for the best in the midwest for JK!! I was shocked to hear about this tonight!! JK had her first baby (girl) on July 27.... I will now always think of Bud on her birthdays!! Much Love to all of you, wishing you only wonderful memories of him.........Jennifer (Cox) Tate, Bonner Springs, Ks
Bud was always one of my favorite clients when I worked at the College of Veterinary Medicine... he was such a nice man and so funny! My heart aches for you all... let the wonderful memories comfort you.
So sorry to hear about the passing of your father, always hard to say goodbyes to the ones we love so much. I always enjoyed your family, great memories of the Fjord, playing sports etc. My thoughts & prayers are with you all. Janet Miller Eslick Fort Dodge,Iowa
The Lord spoke to the heavy hearts
that stood with folded hands,
"Your sadness pains me deeply and
I know you'll miss this man.
But it is true what you've been hearing,
heaven is a real place,
I know that is no consolation. You should
use that fact to face.
The emptiness his parting left
that seeps into your bones,
draw on it to ease your pain,
for he is not alone.
You see, all of his friends are up here
and his loved ones too,
'cause it wouldn't be a heaven without
each one of you.
It's the pasture he's always dreamed of
for his cows he never knew he would find.
And if you think about it, you can see it in your mind.
You somehow get the feeling he's a gazing out on paradise,
just like it was his own.
I can promise you he's happy, though I know you can't pretend
The earthly way you look at things can never satisfy
Your lack of understanding for the answer to the "Why?"
So I offer this comfort to put your grief to rest,
I only take the top hands' cause my crew's the very best.
And I know it might seem selfish to friends and next of kin
But I needed one more farmer and cattleman and Bud Finch fit right in."
Finch Family – so sorry for your loss.
I have so many great childhood memories hanging out with Sharon on the farm and of course Bud was a big part of that!
He will be greatly missed.
PS - I remember dropping a goat off in your barn one night with Dad and being upset with him that I couldn't go in the house and see Sharon for fear of ruining the surprise for Bud in the morning.
