To Eleanor's Family,
Know this is a difficult time for you. Eleanor was such a wonderful person.
I was a past team member with her and Stuart at Dixie Rollers. As secretary, she ran the league with great organization and made everyone feel welcome.
What a great world this would be if everyone had half the positive attributes that were within Eleanor--kind, smart, hard working... I have in mind a short list of heroes (defined as the way one is and lives) and she is one.
I intend to permanently leave Eleanor's card in my Rolodex as my own little memorial to her.
Eleanor will be missed by all that knew her.
The best to all
Eleanor was a blessing and an inspiration to everyone. I had the good fortune to work with her for 9 years at the Appellate Courts and will never forget her. I wish I had just one more of her hugs. Rest in peace, Eleanor.
I am so glad that I was able to purchase some of Eleanor's possessions at her moving sale. Every time I view the faces of the stuffed animals, I am reminded of Eleanor's cheerfulness and the many good times we shared during the 32 years we worked together.
Ms Aker was certainly devoted to the church. I remember when my Daddy was the choir director at the church, and would lead the choir, which included Ms Aker's husband Stuart, while Ms Aker played the organ. She was a nice lady.
Phyllis and Kevin--I was so sorry to learn of Eleanor's passing. She was such a lovely person who always had a smile and kind word for everyone. We've missed her! And you, Phyllis! I'm so sorry I won't be able to join you Saturday, as I'll be out of town, but I'll be thinking about you. Take care.
