I was honored to have him as a professor at Simmons College. I learned so much from him and will always be thankful.
I was shocked to have learned from Mitch Freedman about our loss of Ernie. I am sending you my love and my deepest sympathy for your bereavement. Ernie was a great friend with a heart of gold and we will miss him immensely. Let us try and think not of the bitterness of our loss but of the tremendous influence of Ernie's personality on our lives. I loved him dearly. I hope you will always consider me, Susan, if you need any help.
Brian, Amy and the DiMattia family, I remember having the pleasure of reacquainting myself with Mr. DiMattia at Brian and Becky's wedding. I quickly learned where half of the compassion, love and intelligence came from which are part of Brian and Amy's make up. Your Dad was so easy to talk to, be it Boston College all the way to Teddy Valentine and baseball. The entire DiMattia family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. He was such a great guy in every way both to me as a friend and to the community at large. You have my sympathy and thoughts.
Dear DiMattia Family,
I had Ernest as a professor at Pratt, he was always encouraging us and his gentle smile and disarming personality. Rest In Peace and my prayers are with you all at this time
