The Falling Asleep in the Lord of Fr. Borho, affectionately Fr. Charles as us kin used to call him. I have many wonderful memories of him, serving daily mass at St. Edwards in Nekoma,ND.,with me as alterboy and sometimes we would be the only two in church.Gopher hunting, staying with him in Astoria, Ore.Always remember him going off to pray, everday...as a kid it seemed like hrs.I do not ever remember him saying a negative word about anyone. Fr. we will miss you. May you intercede to the Lord for us sinners...Amen
Fr. Borho was my pastor at St. Cecelia's. I enjoyed his sermons and all he did for our Catholic families in our parish. He will be missed by all of us who knew him. Like many other awesome priests he baptized, gave first communion, confirmation, married, buried and helped others join our Catholic family!
Father Borho, our pastor and friend, made altar boys of our sons, gave them 1st Communion, performed weddings for our kids, baptized some of our grandkids and brought our daughter-in-law into the Church. He ate with us on many Thanksgivings, Christmases and some Easters. He loved leftovers and even brought his own containers. I will remember him every time I make Cheesy Cauliflower soup and how he would even bring me the cauliflower so I could make up a batch. On nice days you could see him riding his bike and picking up cans and bottles. Rest in peace, Father. We will miss trying your patience with our teasing:)
