My Grandpa was one of the most amazing people I knew. He was such a kind and loving man, and truly cared for others. Every time he walked in the room it would light up. His smile and beautiful blue eyes always put a smile on everyones face including my own. He would always ask how I was doing and was genuinely interested in other people. I will miss my annual visits to go see him and will always cherish the many fond memories I have of him. I remember he would always be mowing his lawn and gardening and feeding the birds. He loved to do that. He was so full of life, loved nature, and was very selfless and had such a big heart. He taught me so much and I will miss him deeply and am glad I have all of our wonderful memories together from when I was little until now.
My Dad was a true servent of God. Always volunteer work and helping others and His family when in need. He will be missed greatly
We could always count on Don to represent the Halm family at our family celebrations. I'm so glad I saw him one last time a few weeks ago. He was a very special cousin. Sincere condolences to the family.
A happy smile and big bear hug were sure things at each visit to Don's house. A tour of the roses was next on the list, with a fresh snip of bloom and bud to take home. One of my favorite memories goes back many years. It was a warm summer night, dancing at our back yard reception with my brand new father-in-law. I will miss his shiny blue eyes and generous spirit; thankful that he passed that same grin, love of gardening and warm generosity on to my husband, Jim.
