Frank M Homa 1912 - 2013

Frank M Homa

Tuesday, July 30, 2013
We met Frank at Miss Sheri's Cafeteria. We are one of the regulars that go there. He would come with Diane / and or Lou. We always enjoyed their stories. All of the regulars really miss them. We feel fortunate that we were there for their 100th birthday party and that we were able to visit Frank before he passed away. We will always remember Frank as the "quiet" one though. We will always remember Frank. Marilyn and Mary

I met Frank at the Masonic Lodge on Lindell where we both volunteered. He was probably one of the only locksmiths left that could make a skeleton key with nothing more than a file. Because I was a police officer, he enjoyed telling me stories of his wartime law enforcement experiences. Twice he found out that I need lock work at my home and he just showed up. Even at age 90 he did better work than men half his age. He simply refused to take anything for the work. He said he had all the parts just lying around at home, but I saw the Home Depot receipt hanging out of the bag as he left. I guess St. Peter needed the best locksmith to keep the locks on the Pearly Gates in top shape. Thank you Brother for everything.

Many years ago when I worked for Valley Steel Products and Valley Industries, I quite often employed the locksmith services of the man I called "Homa." I remember him fondly as a gentleman, honest, hard working and all business.

Frank was one of those rare people who always made you laugh. He had a million stories and never tired of telling them. We always enjoyed seeing him, and he will have a special place in our memories. Rest peacefully, Frank.
