I am grateful for the life of Mr. Rice. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I was deeply saddened today when I heard of Franks passing. The man was quite and very interesting to talk with. I met him at the Belton, Mo car show and we became instant friends. We shared a lot of things he was 15 years older than me but we had so much in common. We both loved old cars, both were retired Teamsters Local 41, and both Army veterans. I am so blessed to have met and talked with this man. I am proud to say that I knew and talked to a Army war hero. I want his family to know how much he meant to all veterans. To his family, I will fly my flag at half staff in his memory. God bless all of you and I pray that God wraps his arms around you and comforts you through this difficult time in your life. America also lost a great veteran.
