Charles David and Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I wish I had been able to be at the cemetery today as I am probably one of the few people left in Blanket who would remember you and your family. You and my brother and I were about the same age when you lived here. My brother's name was Grant Tidwell and he passed away in 1992 in Lubbock awaiting a heart transplant. Your wife was a beautiful woman and I know she was deeply loved by her students and friends. I am 76 and was a teacher myself. Again, my deepest sympathy.

Mrs. Cobb was my 9th grade honors English teacher at Evans. Her approach to our class and the many innovations she used to inspire us were remarkable. It was during her class that we explored our inner voice and personal values - which to anyone but an English major would sound a little abstract! Just the other day I listened to an audio version of James Joyce's Ulysses and thought of Mrs. Cobb as she first introduced us to the idea of stream of consciousness.
She was an amazing teacher. God bless your family in this time of loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Although medical issues prevented our attendance at the memorial service, Marilyn and I trust that our grandson Ryker's attendance offered comfort that as friends we are thinking of you today.
May you find peace Brother Cobb.
