I always remember the Christmas when he hired a Santa Claus for us and then went out to the roof to make raindeer noises..that was George in a nutshell.
You could not ask for a better uncle than George. I remember the drive to Mt Pleasant to to see George and Frances, a visit with them was always to look forward to. George would tell good stories, and Frances always had sweets for us kids.
Thankful to have met such a wonderful man... he will be missed. George i know you are in a better place, may you be greeted with all your loved ones lost. Semper fi ol' devil dog :)
So sorry to hear of the passing of George. He was a long time friend of the American Red Cross. He always had something intersting to say and was a quit the historian for our area as well as the earlier days of the Red Cross when he and his wife were so active volunteering with us.
