Warm memories of the wonderful care "Mrs. Drell" provided for me years ago at such a critical time. What a life she lived. My deepest sympathy.
I remember Gertie so fondly from my very early years. She took me in for a few days when my mom was hospitalized, and I can still hear her calling everyone, or at least my mother, "Kid". She was always so enthusiastic, fun and incredibly proud of her girls. I would hear updates through the years from my Mom. How lucky for the family to have her in your lives until 101. My condolences for your loss.
Thinking of you and your family in this time of sadness. Loss of a mom no matter how long you have had her is always a blow to the heart.
So very sorry for your loss, but what an wonderful lady to have loved and known. She sounds like she was truly amazing and lived life to her fullest. Many blessings.
Although Bill Parker and I never met their mother Gertrude, we are friends of both Adrienne "Bunny" Drell and Jill Drell. We wish for you both, as well as the extended family, to have an easy Shiva and know that we are thinking of you all here in Arizona.
