Gilbert D. (G.D.) Brookhart
Jim, Steve, Pam, Kenny and Mary Ann; my sincerest condolences to you and your family. My sister Judy, passed away a few days before and her funeral was the same day as your Dad's. I had wanted to visit and couldn't but I wanted to let you know that I appreciated so much all of the nice things your Dad (and your Mom) did for me when I was in high school. I wouldn't have made it if it hadn't been for him. I will always remember.
Gilbert and Mary Ann's families. My deepest condolences to all of you. I grew up in Adams County with Gilbert and his sister Nellwyn. They both were like family, have a lot of fond memories.. Your dad and Mary Ann were very prompt in attending any of the Ripley events. Please accept my deepest felt sympathy to all of you and your families. Pam & Doug were neighbors of my son Eric and his wife in the neighborhood off of Hague Rd quite a few years ago. I would like very much to keep in contact with the family to keep abreast of how Mary Ann is doing, as I understand her health issues. Enid Ripley Roberts, 1221 N 675 W; Columbus In 47201. I am so sorry for your loss of Gilbert. I spent many a day at the Oxford St. house with Pammy. Many fond memories. May he rest in peace.
Our deepest sympathy on the loss of Gilbert. He was a great uncle and I always looked up to him. I have a lot of fond memories of our reunions and the fireworks in the park in front of their home on Oxford Street.
Ken and Jan, we are very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing... Your Dad was a pretty cool dude and was really a surrogate Dad to all of us neighborhood kids that hung out at and almost destroyed the house (the coffee table is just one of the episodes that come to my mind). Please pass on our regards to your Mom, Jim, Steve, and Pam.
